Essence Medicare Plans
The Essence Healthcare plan is a unique model that is organized and administered by doctors themselves. Essence Healthcare aims to cultivate quality healthcare for seniors at affordable prices. One unique aspect to Essence’s approach to healthcare is the relationship between doctors and their patients, which allows local doctors to administer and control health coverage.
In 2005, Essence Healthcare received the highest score among Missouri’s Part C Advantage Plan providers in overall care, customer service, and other categories in the Medicare Advantage Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Study.
The Essence Advantage plans combine Medicare Parts A, B, and D together into a comprehensive plan that offers benefits not available with Original Medicare. The plans are all designed and directed by local physicians who practice in the area the plan is offered, making sure the plan fits the people it will be serving.
Essence Advantage HMO has no monthly premium. There are set fees for doctor visits, specialists, urgent care, emergency room, annual eye exam, dental, and drug coverage. The fees vary and are slightly higher than with the Advantage Plus program.
