Health First Medicare

Health First is a collaboration between 3 not-for-profits hospitals in Florida’s Space Coast. Cape Canaveral Hospital, Palm Bay Hospital, and Holmes Regional Medical Center joined together to form the Health First family. Soon Viera Hospital will be added to the family. Their goal is to offer top-notch healthcare combined with high-caliber medical technology.

Holmes Regional Medical Center was originally opened in 1937 with 27 beds as Brevard Hospital. It has since experienced growth along with the name change, currently holding 514 beds. The Cape Canaveral Hospital opened in 1962 with only 44 beds, and has since expanded to 150 beds. The Palm Bay Hospital was opened in 1992 as a satellite location of Holmes Regional Medical Center with a total of 60 beds.

In 1995 the three hospitals joined together to create an integrated health care delivery system. They are currently undergoing growth and development to their Viera Health Park for an 84 bed hospital and expanded outpatient services and physician offices.
