Idaho Medicare
Some of the carriers we represent in the state of Idaho are Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, CIGNA, and First Health. For more information on specific plans, view Medicare insurance plans by state.
There are 48 Medicare prescription drug plans available, and 84% of those with Medicare have prescription drug coverage. 17 PDPs have $0 deductibles, and $18.70 is the lowest monthly premium for a PDP. $69.90 is the lowest monthly premium for a PDP with any generic coverage in the coverage gap. 9 PDPs have a premium of $0 for people who qualify for extra help. However, plan costs and coverage change each year, so you should verify that your current plan is the best for you-you might have a better option for 2010.
State Assistance Programs
The Medicare-Medicaid Coordinated Plan is for people who are eligible for Medicare and Medicaid and are enrolled in participating Medicare Advantage plans. Idaho created a system in 2007 to provide coordination of benefits with major insurance carriers that provide Medicare Part C and D services. Idaho pays a rate per enrollee to the carriers for integrated services. Medicaid participants enrolled in both Medicare Part A and B (full dual eligibles) and over the age of 21 may choose to sign up for this plan.
