It is important to find a Medicare Plan offered by one of these carriers in your area. Often, Medicare carriers are members of a network of doctors and hospitals in the area. The doctors and hospitals will accept Medicare plans offered by carriers within the network. If you choose to use doctors and hospitals outside of the area, your Medicare plan coverage may not be applicable. In the case of an emergency, you may receive extended coverage.
Humana Health Insurance
Humana Health Insurance offers six Medicare Plans to your area. They are HMO Humana Gold Plus H1036-011A, HMO Humana Gold Plus H1036-053A, PPO HumanaChoice R5826-074, PPO HumanaChoice R5826-018, PPO HumanaChoice R5826-005, and HMO Humana Gold Plus H1036-065C. An HMO is a Health Maintenance Organization and a PPO is a Preferred Provider Organization. These Plans can be added to your Medicare Advantage Plan (Medicare Part C).
PPO HumanaChoice R5826-074 has a monthly premium of $84. There is a $15 co-pay for primary care office visits and a $35 co-pay for specialty visits. Hospital inpatients have $225 co-pay per day for the first seven days of their visit. Hospital outpatients have $0-$150 co-pay per visit, depending on the cost of the visit. Pharmacy, such as prescription drug coverage, is included with this Plan.
Medicare Supplement Plan F has a monthly premium of $280.85. There is $0 co-pay for office visits, hospital inpatients, and hospital outpatients. Pharmacy is not included with this Plan.
