States are required to pay the Medicare premiums, copayments, and deductibles for those who are eligible as Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries (QMBs). In Nebraska, beneficiaries are eligible for additional medical services at minimal cost. In order to be a QMB one must meet certain resource resource and income guidelines. Income must be over 100% but cannot exceed 120% of the Federal Poverty level. Resource limits are $4,000 for 1 person and $6,000 for 2 people.
