Washington Medicare

Some of the carriers we represent in Washington are Humana, First Health and more. For more information regarding specific plans you can view Medicare insurance plans by state.

State Assistance Programs:

Rx Washington:

Rx Washington was founded in order to cut down on prescription drug costs for individuals and state health programs, classify a list of preferred prescription drugs, as well as boost public knowledge about drug safety and cost-effectiveness.

The Rx Washington Card provides savings of 15-25% on prescription drugs. This card provides discounts at mail order and retail pharmacies within the Express Scripts national network of pharmacies. The annual membership fee is $10 per person. Washington residents who purchase prescription drugs not covered by their insurance program are eligible for the Rx Washington Card. The Rx Washington Card is not a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan. However, the Rx Washington Card may provide discounts on medications that are not covered by Medicare or other insurance you may have.

Washington Prescription Drug Program (WPDP):

This program offers state-negotiated discounts to all interested residents, regardless of income, age, or current insurance plan. The program aims to save you about 20 percent on brand name drugs and 60 percent on generic drugs. For more information you can visit www.rx.wa.gov.

Plan costs and coverage change every year so you should check to see if your plan still meets your needs and budgets. There may be better health and/or drug plans available with better coverage or a lower deductible for 2010.
